Stem Cells For Disc Regeneration
The field of spinal cord injury and back pain has seen a new advancement in treatment. Currently, a number of doctors still rely on surgery and supportive care to treat these ailments. What is Degenerative Disc Disease?

A herniated or bulging disc is a condition affecting the spine in which the annulus fibrosus is damaged.This can irritate the spinal cord or nearby nerves, causing extreme pain, weakness and numbness in the arms or legs. A severely herniated disc can sometimes cause paralysis.
How Are The Stem Cells Helping?
The disc itself has very few nerve endings and low blood supply. Without a constant blood supply the disc does not have a way to repair itself.
